8 months agoThe service was great, the atmosphere was dated but that doesn't bother me. The cake slice and ox tails were so delicious the best I've had since moving to Texas but the cabbage was plain and the yams were over cooked and dry.

2 years agoI'll never eat Bodacious again. Every penny I spent was MORE than worth it. This food is absolutely DELICIOUS. The ribs are so tender, full of flavor, and juicy. Idk what kind of bbq sauce they use but if that make it they need to market it. I was greeted immediately when I walked in. And everyone spoke to me.

2 years agoBest BBQ in 30 plus years!! My husband and I are traveling from Michigan to Galveston and Marshall was our lunch stop. We are from Houston but have lived in Michigan for far too long. We each had 2 meats (1) beef and links (2) beef and sausage. Sides, potato salad. Brisket was melt in your mouth amazing. Links and sausage had a snap to them with the links being a tad spicer. Potato salad was delicious with sweet pickles. The beans were wonderful…beans, bell pepper and a little ground beef. The gentleman running the BE were warm, friend and fun to talk too. If you’re hungry and find yourself in Marshall definitely stop in for the best BBQ going. For a little fun give the Pittsburgh link a try 😉

3 years agoComing from San Antonio born and raised, now living in Spring Hill 1st time eating out of my own kitchen. HANDS DOWN.... The best Ribs, baked beans, greens and cornbread. Very clean and LOVELY cook server owner.... Do plan on going again and recommend anyone to go.

4 years agoGreat food. Great hospitality. I knew I was at the right place when I could smell delicious smoky goodness from down the street. This place is run by a lovely couple so the service might not be the fastest but great food requires patience. I had ribs and brisket with mashed potatoes and greens and they're all delicious. I will stop by this place every time I'm in Marshall.

4 years agoThe food was SO GOOD! And the service was the BEST!! Ribs were so tender!! The Banana Pudding was so delicious!!! Reminded me of my Grandma's! Thanks, Herbert!! You are the King of Texas BBQ!!

7 years agoFried ribs were delicious with beans and potatoe salad. The sweet tea was a bit too sweet but the service was friendly and very helpful in a quaint little spot that offers barbecue to fried catfish. You can even shot a game of pool after your meal!
